Welcome to the Parker Trio Website

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on July 16, 1971.  Warren B. Parker went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 8. 2006.

FOR TO ME, TO LIVE IS CHRIST AND TO DIE IS GAIN.  Phil.1. 21

Warren asked Jesus into his life at the age of 6. He was brought up in a Christian home with his sister Julie who is fourteen months younger. From a young age Warren had a great love for music.  He could sit down at a piano or organ and play a tune without looking at one note and had never to be asked to practice, he was usually asked to stop!!   At the age of 7 He was awarded 1st place at his school for playing the recorder.  After that he even tried the bagpipes and was able to make music with them!!  At age 8 he began to study organ and piano theory and then began to study conservatory music up until he graduated High School.   In his early teens Warren had a heart for Missions and was blessed to travel throughout various countries of the world with his home church.  In September 1989 he went on a 6 months Mission Trip with 4 other guys to Belize in Central America. There he was actively involved in leading youth in sports and music programs, along with clearing several miles of dense jungles with machetes.  Living in a jungle hut with no running water or electricity, Warren still found a way to play his keyboard by way of a generater.   As God's spirit began working in his life, Warren could not have imagined the plan that God had ahead for him!  Upon returning home from Belize in March 1990, Warren developed some serious health problems which lead to a change in the direction that his life would now take.  The specialist advised him not to travel the long distance to University because of the ongoing medical tests.  This devastasted Warren and though he questioned why God would allow this to happen, he continued to hold on to God's promises for his life!  Instead of the long travel to University he attended a local community college to study Law Enforcement and Graduated with Honors in July 1993. Previous to this in 1991 he was contacted by a Music Group based out of Barrie, Ontario. ( Sonshine City ) and asked if he would consider being their piano player.  The music style was Southern Gospel and Warren was not convinced this was his type of music until several meetings with the guys..then it became the greatest music on earth!  He was piano player for the group for about 3 years and during this time he felt God's call on his life. In January 1994 he was hired by a Music Group In Swansea, South Carolina. (The Merediths ) as their full time Piano player and travelled with them for 18 months. It was during this time that he met his future wife Shannan who was the 'Love of his life'!  They were married on July 27. 1996 in Sugar Creek, Ohio.  Yes God had a plan for their lives and in March 1997 Warren and Shannan sang together for the first time at a Camp in Owen Sound, Ontario with over 100 young people in attendance.  That evening through singing and testamony around 30 young people came to the front of the building  to give their lives to Christ..that was the birth and confirmation of the ministry of Warren and Shannan Parker!  Warren began writing songs that God would lay on his heart, and with eternity on his mind most of the songs were about Heaven!  He also taught himself to play guitar and harmonica, this added a great sound with a variety of musical instruments to their presentation.  In 1998 Johney Clarke joined them on guitar and travelled until January 2000.  In October 2000 Vanessa Young joined the group as Soprano and then the group became known as The Parker Trio.  May 2003 Vanessa was replaced with Angie White as Soprano and her husband Brandt White came on board as bus driver and sound technician.  It was during this time that The Parker Trio became more known as P3. The travel now became extensive from one coast to another! God was really moving and they were seeing many people come to accept Christ as their personal Saviour!  The 1991 Prevost bus was a real answer to prayer in January 2004 to allow them such extensive travel.  One of Warren's passions was to go into the prisons and rehab centers to minister to the lost.  What a thrill it was to minister to those men and women and tell them that no matter how deep in sin they were that if they confess their sin, and put their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, they will be forgiven and have a home in Heaven! Many times the tears would run down the faces of those men and women as they realized that they were loved!  Warren said many times, that the Big Events that they performed at were wonderful but if all he was to do was minister in these prisons and rehabs then that is where he would be happy to be!   He said he never wanted to rise to fame above what he could handle, if it would mean that he would lose sight of the Lord and the ministry he was called to!  During the almost 10 years of Full Time Music Ministry the Parker Trio recorded 7 Albums and 1 DVD.  They wrote 11 songs and one of their Favourite was ' Thank God for Calvary '.  This song won album of the year in 2002.  11 Awards were received from the Canadian Gospel Music Association. ( C.G.M.A.)  2- Gospel Album of the Year. 5- Favourite Instrumental. 3- Favourite Vocal Group. 1- Favourite Song of the Year.

God was so faithful through the years of Ministry and for this we give Him PRAISE!  Warren lived the dream that God had placed on his heart.  On January 7. 2006 Warren penned these words for a new CD he was working on to be titled 'Farewell to Familiar'.  "Most of all I want to Thank my Lord and Saviour,Jesus Christ for giving me this dream and the ability. Thank You for choosing me and reminding me that you are in control of every situation. "

On January 8. 2006.. In Goose Creek, South Carolina USA, while Warren was directing the bus into a Church Parking lot, he was struck by a truck and tragically killed.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous Judge will award to me on that day....2. Timothy 4. Vs.7-8.

Warren's Favourite Verses... Psalm 100. and  Jeremiah 29. Vs. 11.

Please keep Shannan and the Parker Family in your prayers as they face the heartbreak of this terrible tragedy and loss.   Pray also for Brandt & Angie and the many emotions they have had to deal with.
